I have created a new program and have sent it to a select few. If you are part of the unlucky few who have ran this program, here is the fix to the program.

Boost your internet Speed by releasing XP Reserved Bandwidth

Windows reserves 20% network bandwidth. You can release this by following these steps.

  1. Go to run and type gpedit.msc .
  2. Navigate to Computer Configuration ----> Administrative templates ---->Network.
  3. Open QoS Packet Scheduler.
  4. Double click Limit Reservable Bandwidth.
  5. Not cofigured would be chosen. However by default the value is 20% .
  6. Select enable and make the value 0.
  7. This should boost your net speed considerably.

Seems like you are using Windows XP Home edition. Unfortunately gpedit.msc [Group Policy Editor] is not there in Home edition. There should be some registry edit tweak releasing the 20% bandwidth . I will soon post it.
